Pendle Hill

You can't come to the Ribble Valley without climbing the iconic Pendle Hill, renowned for the 'Pendle Witches'. You can enjoy a drink and a bite to eat in the village of Barley when you're done too.

Parlick & Fell Snape

The lesser known, but equally distinguishable, Parlick Fell is a must. With views over the Ribble Valley, out towards Morecombe and the Trough of Bowland, this walk really will get your muscles warm and tick all the boxes.

Yorkshire Three Peaks

Why not spend your day climbing one of the tree infamous Yorkshire Three Peaks - or all three if you're up for a challenge! A scenic drive over the tops to Settle will get you where you need to be for a day to remember.

Ribble Valley E-Bikes

Only 10 minutes away and a family run business, the team have lived all of their lives in and around Dunsop Bridge and the Forest of Bowland. E-Bikes are the perfect way for people to enjoy the Ribble Valley and surrounding countryside, available for half-day or full-day hire.

Bowland and Bay

A local foodie adventure, join Katie for a guided food tour of the county's finest artisans and food producers. Available as a half day or a full day, you're sure to come back happy and well fed!

Dale House Kitchen

Cookery and baking courses, foraging days, and even mountain biking - Dominque does it all. Based in Gisburn Forest and working from her farmhouse, expand your skillset and cook up some culinary treats.

For the animal lovers

Woodend Alpacas

Join Alison and family for an incredible alpaca experience in the nearby Dunsop Bridge. Alpacas Walks, meet and greets and even cream teas are on offer too.

Bowland Wild Boar Park

Only a short distance from us, it is a delightful place to enjoy the countryside and local wildlife, have fun in the fresh air and take time out from the hustle and bustle whilst having lots of different activities for the kids to do.

For the historians and castle enthusiasts

Lancaster Castle

Lancaster Castle, dates back to Roman times and has witnessed significant historical, cultural and political importance throughout the centuries. These include incidents of religious persecution, the trials of the Lancashire Witches and over 200 executions for everything from murder to stealing cattle. Until 2011 it was a fully functioning HM Prison and today it is a magnificent ‘living’ monument - WELL worth a visit!

Clitheroe Castle

With panoramic views across the Ribble Valley, Clitheroe Castle is perched above the town of Clitheroe where it has dominated the skyline for 800 years. It's free to go up the castle, or pop into the museum for a small fee and learn about the history of Clitheroe.

Browsholme Hall

Right on your doorstep, Browsholme Hall is the oldest family home in Lancashire. Open every Wednesday between 11am to 4pm, from April to December you can enjoy guided tours, the tea room and the gardens. Please note outside of these hours we are closed to the public as a private residence.
