Emma & Alex were one of the first couples to get married by the Lily Pond in June. Here's what they had to say about their day;
Browsholme was the first venue that we visited. We fell in love from the moment we drove down the picturesque driveway and saw the beautiful gardens. The barn was exactly what we had both envisaged. Alex is a keen fisherman so the lake was a definite plus point (he was under strict instruction not to attempt any secret fishing on the wedding day). The wedding coordinators were so friendly and passionate. It was a very easy decision as Browsholme is an absolutely stunning venue.
It was the best day of my life. I don't know how else to describe the feeling other than out of this world!
Every single one of our guests have said how truly amazing the day was. A lot of them even said that it was the BEST wedding they have ever been to. Everything was perfect: the weather, the food, the company, the venue.
How did you feel walking down the aisle?
Like a queen!! I cried as soon as I saw Alex and heard our song playing. After being 20 minutes fashionably late, I was so excited! His face when he first saw me in my dress was a picture, and something that will stay with me forever. We got married at the Lily Pond on a beautiful sunny day. It couldn't have been more perfect. I wish I could do it again and again. The feeling of walking down the aisle really is unimaginable and by far one of my favourite parts of the day.
What was the best thing about your day?
That's a hard question as there were so many amazing parts... Getting ready with the girls, walking down the aisle, drinks and dancing in the courtyard as the sun went down, having the time of our lives with our friends and family (...maybe not the skinny dipping that happened later on) but most of all, marrying my soulmate.

A Martina Liana strapless, mermaid dress. It was heavily embellished, full of sparkle and the skirt had lots of layers of the most romantic tulle which made a gorgeous train at the back. I also wore a full length veil. I had gone into the bridal shop (Ava Rose Hamilton in Colne) looking for an A-line dress with sleeves as I have 2 children and I'm not really 100% confident in my mum-bod. I think Michelle, the stylist knew what I wanted before I did as she made me choose at least one mermaid style. From the moment I put it on, I knew it was the one. I was absolutely blown away. So happy with my choice.
