Lauren & Billy
Lauren and Billy got engaged just before the first lockdown in February 2020 (just in time!). Here's what they had to say about their day at Browsholme;
We were really set on the Ribble Valley as a location and viewed a number of venues in the area. For us, Browsholme just ticked all the boxes. We loved the Barn, the outdoor courtyard, the lake and the stunning views! We just knew that this was where we were meant to be married!
Walking down the aisle, I felt amazing, I was literally walking on air! I couldn't quite believe that the moment had finally come. It was just magical walking with my Dad into the room seeing all our loved ones there and Billy waiting for me. I couldn't wipe the smile from my face, I was just BEAMING from ear to ear!

For a long time it was hard to get too excited as we really didn't know what was going to happen. We planned our ideal day but then had to consider what would happen if there were restrictions in place, if we had to reduce numbers etc.
We felt lucky that we hadn't had to change our date but it was such a strange time to be planning a wedding. It wasn't anything like how I imagined! Attending dress appointments with just one other person and having to wear a mask was not what I thought my 'yes' moment would be like!
I couldn't believe how well it all came together, it was just perfect! Everyone said the day would go by so quickly so I did try to just enjoy every minute.
The feedback from our guests has been fantastic, they all said what a stunning venue it was! They were impressed with the location, the views, the staff - everything! We were blessed with a beautiful day too! The food too was divine, both the breakfast and the pizzas too.
It's a cliché, but for us, it really was the perfect day from start to finish. After so much uncertainty and stress in the run up to the day it was just amazing to be able to celebrate with all of our friends and family! Some highlights were walking down the aisle, it just felt like the moment that we had been waiting for for sooo long! We also don't think we'll forget our wedding breakfast in a hurry - seeing all our guests waving their napkins in the air and stood on their chairs dancing was pretty spectacular!
