Frequently Asked Questions

Can we decorate the Barn and hang bunting?

Absolutely yes! We encourage all our couples to personalise the venue for their wedding.

How many people can sit on each table?

The majority of our tables seat eight to ten guests, and we have two larger tables that will seat up to twelve.

Can we get a Taxi home?

Yes, there are several taxi firms in Clitheroe who come to us regularly. Our staff will help you with this on the night. The taxis do get busy on peak weekends so you might want to reserve one in advance.

What time does the bar close?

We close the bar between 12 and 12.30am, and ask that everyone leaves the Barn before 1am.

We want a Civil Ceremony, do we have to book the Registrar?

Yes. You can reserve your date and time three years before the wedding day. We recommend that you telephone as soon as you can on the relevant date to get your preferred time.

Do you have any accommodation on site?

The wedding couple stay in Cherry Lodge, one of our glorious, new micro lodges. For a small additional charge they can have The Mews cottage for the night, which has two bedrooms. We have ten micro lodges in the Woodland Glade, adjacent to the Tithe Barn, each sleeping at least two people and these are available for you to allocate to your family and guests. Other accommodation is available locally.

How many people does the Barn hold?

We can accommodate 120 sitting for the Wedding Breakfast, and 180 for the evening party.

Can we have a ceremony outside?

Yes, all types of ceremony are welcome at the Lily Pond (including legally-binding civil ceremonies) or alternatively Celebrant or Humanist ceremonies can be conducted anywhere else in our grounds.
