Here are some of the most frequent questions from visitors planning a visit to us; but we are always pleased to help you.

Do I need to book for a particular timed tour in advance?

No, on the day you buy a ticket for the next tour and join that. Ours tours start at 12noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

How long does it take to go round the Hall?

The guided tour takes approximately one hour and you might want to allow additional time to explore the grounds.

Is there access for wheelchairs?

Yes, all the ground floor rooms of the Hall are fully accessible, as is the Tithe Barn and Tea Room and we have disabled toilets.

Is it a guided tour or can I walk round on my own?

Browsholme is a private, family home so our knowledgeable and experienced guides accompany you around our house.

Do you do group tours on other days?

Yes, you can bring a group of 12 or more at any time by arrangement. Contact Catherine on 01254 827160 to discuss this.

Does the café serve gluten free food?

We do have gluten free bread for sandwiches as well as gluten free cakes. If you have other special dietary needs please let us know in advance.

Is there somewhere safe to leave my bicycle?

Yes, you can store your bicycle within the Tithe Barn whilst you explore the Hall and grounds.

Can I take photographs in the Hall?

Photographs and cameras can be very distracting to other visitors and to our guides, so we ask that you refrain from taking photographs during the tour.

Is there plenty to see in the gardens?

We have extensive grounds of over 10 acres with lakes and woodland all with well-marked walks throughout. Browsholme is a landscaped garden

Are dogs welcome?

Most certainly well behaved dogs are welcome, but preferably on a lead close to the Hall.
