History of the Venue
Built in 1507 and steeped in history, Browsholme Hall is the oldest surviving family home in Lancashire. Close to the house itself, enjoying the same lovely rural setting is the 17-century Tithe Barn wedding venue. The Hall and Barn are located in the Forest of Bowland, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
Restored and converted, the Barn has been transformed into a unique new venue for weddings for up to 120 guests. The barn has beautiful traditional features, such as exposed stone, oak beams and flagstone floors. Two magnificent spaces can either be used together or on their own, hence creating two different environments and not splitting up your wedding party.
The Barn has the latest design innovations in lighting, video, sound systems and catering facilities which have been seamlessly integrated to provide a truly unique experience. All while keeping the barns original features in mind.
The Courtyard provides a fantastic space to use during reception drinks and in the evening a great area for a party especially when coupled with our outdoor pizza oven.
There are plenty of accommodation options for you and your guests. The cosy Mews Cottage, our micro lodges and a plethora of local hotels and B&B’s (some within walking distance!) are all available for the night of your wedding.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you wish to visit the venue.
